Concert dates for season 2018/19 now available

For the season 2018/2019 there are many exciting concerts and solo performances by Hardy Rittner planned. In addition to symphonic concerts with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and the Bergische Symphoniker, the pianist is going to be guest for a serenade at Burg Linn. Another highlight of the season is a recital at the Bolzano Conservatory. You can find all current events in the event section.

Anniversary Concert for the SIM

On June 23rd 2017, Hardy Rittner performed in a concert for the 100th anniversary of the Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung (SIM). He interpreted works by Chopin on two different instruments, a modern Steinway piano and an original piano by Pleyel. In an introduction, he and Heinz von Loesch discussed and presented the various sounds of the instruments.

Concert in Freiburg

During a concert in Freiburg on April 21st 2017, Hardy Rittner played on two very different pianos: He interpreted works by Busoni on a modern Steinway but chose an original Pleyel (1846) piano for the works by Chopin instead.

Eugen d'Albert

On April 4th and 5th 2017, Hardy Rittner interpreted a piano concerto that is very rarely played in concert: the Piano Concerto No. 1 in B minor by Eugen d'Albert. He was accompanied by the Bergische Symphoniker and Peter Kuhn (conductor). 

The two performances took place in Solingen and Remscheid.
